Dr. Viera Bernat
I am a Primary Care Physician in Pediatrics and Family Medicine. During the past 25 years, I have developed a trusting and caring relationship with my patients and their families. As a result, my staff and I often work with the entire family unit; in fact it is not uncommon for three generations of family members to be our patients. As we treat families, we can recognize genetic risk factors and use that knowledge to more effectively screen and possibly even prevent disease.
Dr. Funk
I am originally from Youngstown, Ohio. I have completed my Undergraduate College at the Ohio State University and earned my Medical degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine where I have graduated in 1989.
I am Board Certified in Family Practice. My interests are preventative medicine, musculoskeletal conditions and sport injuries, including neck, lower back and extremities as applied for the entire family – from children to elderly.
Brooke Perlik, P.A.-C. RD.LD
In January of 2004 we have expanded our practice to include the position of Physician Assistant to our staff and we have maintained it ever since. We are very fortunate to offer services of Brooke to our patients. She is a family medicine physician assistant and registered dietitian who earned her Masters degree in physician assistant studies from University of Nebraska and her Bachelors degree in health and sport studies from Miami University. She focuses on integrating medical nutrition therapy with conventional approaches for managing multiple disease states. Her interests include weight loss, women’s health and diabetes care.
We firmly believe that our group of providers has greatly enhanced our ability to serve our patients' medical needs. It has also shortened waiting time and allowed us to provide ongoing services to the community.
